Kari Samantha is an American actor, performer and singer (born on April 28 1967). Wuhrer began her career as a teenager and is best recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and car salesman. Her siblings include three. The singer was in her teens performing in clubs and hid from home to do so. When she began studying acting at Wooster School at 13 years old, she was a drama student at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University.
