Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A superstar who crossed over completely from country music to pop culture and became a pop icon that will be around forever, and will conquer everywhere. Swift removed herself from the country genre like a second skin, and revealed that she was the most refined pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only artist/singer who could be a part of the trending zeitgeist and take it on the road. Her early songs like the Neotribute for Tim McGraw were a testament of her ability. But, her follow-up album Fearless in 2008 showcased the songwriter finding her voice, and also a larger audience. Fearless was a huge success not only in the United States, where six of its singles have been declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and Belong with Me. But the album also enjoyed a great reception across the globe. Swift's second album, Speak Now, released just two years after the debut, further consolidated this momentum. It helped propel Swift to superstardom. In the following three years, her popularity increased through the years -three times - Red (2012), Reputation (2014) as well as 1989 (2014-2015) in 2014-2015 as she entered a new world of pop music in which her talent was already well established. Although she slowed down the production of her folklore album, and Evermore released in 2020, she was leading the way in pop music.
